Recycling Furniture for Families

A Christ Centered Ministry Connecting Local Agencies, Churches, and Families

What is Recycling Furniture for Families?
The Recycling Furniture for Families Program (RFF) is a Christ-Centered ministry that collaborates with local social service agencies and churches in an effort to provide clean, refurbished furniture, beds and linens, household goods, kitchen items and small appliances to families in need.  RFF is a subsidiary of Partners for Community and is a member of the McLean County Continuum of Care Homeless Service Providers Network.  RFF acts as an intermediary between families in need and the community by collecting donations of furniture and household goods and giving them to those in need
Our Mission

Our mission is to share Christ's love for us by supporting families and giving hope and help in a time of great need.  To accomplish this mission we cooperatively work closely with like-minded agencies, organizations, and ministries who are helping individuals and families break the cycle of poverty and move toward self-sufficiency.

Our Call

The Gospel writer Matthew recounted a time when the Lord Jesus was privately teaching his disciples on the Mount of Olives.  Part of that teaching told that when the Son of Man comes he will separate the sheep from the goats.  He said in Matthew 25:40, "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'"  In that light, we believe our call is to serve the Lord by serving those in most need at a time when many are the most vulnerable and needy.
